Overview of latest SEER data and the impact of COVID on cancer incidence trends and reporting
Nadia Howlader, Ph.D., Angela Mariotto, Ph.D., and Annie Noone, Ph.D.
The stay-at-home orders issued in early 2020 have had an impact on cancer diagnoses. This discussion of challenges in reporting cancer incidence and trends with this 2020 data point shows several examples of the impact in SEER*Explorer and monthly trends to highlight the trend in cancer diagnoses before and after the stay-at-home orders were issued.
